MBA was the General Contractor to build a new Field Hockey Complex and practice Soccer Field. The work included 13,000 cy imported dirt to fill existing hole that was previously dug for the future U of I Olympic size swimming pool; construct a concession stand and restroom building and a separate scorer’s building that housed the irrigation pumps and storage; irrigation; bleachers; Musco lights; scoreboard; landscaping; seeding; sod; nets; and misc. work. The Field Hockey Field included laser grading dirt to a turtle back crown; installing 8” collector tile around perimeter of field; installing 8’ wide sidewalk around perimeter of field; installing flat Advantage tile on a 15’ center grid; installing and laser grading 2 lifts of rock – 1” ballast and 3/8” rock; 1” rubber e-layer; and a synthetic field turf playing field. The practice soccer field included laser grading dirt to allow water to drain from project site.
