MBA Incorporated was founded in 1997 by Jim and Bev Seelman, who have been in the construction industry over 38 years. MBA has been building and renovating athletic fields for over 20 years, doing projects of all sizes, from laser grading a softball field to building a softball, baseball, football, soccer, or field hockey complex. MBA strives to add new pieces of machinery to their large equipment line-up to add to their vast array of services that they offer their clients. Their clients include Big Ten athletic fields, college fields, municipal fields, high school fields and private enterprise fields. MBA prides itself on quality construction done right the first time and has an excellent reputation with it’s clients.

MBA focuses on using the latest tools and technology to save time and money for their clients. Three of their pieces of equipment include the combinator, which neatly conveys all of its spoils into a turf wagon removing as much as 3” of material in one pass. The AFT trencher that MBA uses to install athletic field drainage systems cuts the trench and conveys the spoils into a turf wagon all in one pass. The trencher is controlled by laser for elevation and steering. To fill and compact the trench with sand and rock, MBA has an AFT dual use hopper that fills the trench and compacts in one pass. These pieces of equipment have greatly enhanced MBA’s operation by being able to offer more services to its clients.  In 2016, MBA invested in the Total Station technology, which enables MBA to grade a field to 1/8 of an inch.  MBA currently has 5 pieces of equipment with this technology to enable MBA to offer highly accurate field building in 3-D, as well as 2-D.
